brief literary side note

Dan Brown is a worthless hack.

I found myself in need of some mindless reading over the weekend, and picked up Angels and Demons in the hotel gift shop. I finished it solely out of morbid curiosity. He did just enough research to look foolish; the characters were finger puppets; the plot twists were trite.

I finished it on the plane and briefly considered beating up the college kid sitting next to me for his Tom Robbins novel.
